Android users can Send or Receive files even offline and without Wi-Fi

If Apple has Air Drop, where you can send photos, videos or other files directly to the MacBook without connecting the phone or you can take it directly from the MacBook to the phone, Google's Nearby Share also beats it. Google's proximity allows Android users to share their files across devices. Now, Google also gives users the ability to share apps with nearby Android devices using Nearby Share.

Nearby Share was first launched in August 2020 and allowed Android users to share and access files, photos and videos. In December 2020, the ability to share Nearby Share apps was announced and in February this year it was launched to roll out users.Nearby Share is an Android response to Apple's AirDrop, which for years has allowed Apple users to send each other files at a certain distance.

No internet connection or Wi-Fi required :

The new feature allows users to share apps from Google Play Store with their Android smartphone and the people around them, even when no Internet connection or Wi-Fi is required. To use the new feature, users need to go to the Google Play Store on their Android phone, click the profile icon and select Manage apps and devices. There, users should be able to see the option to share apps with two buttons, Send and Receive. Then it shows a list of applications from which users can select the applications they want to send. After that, they can click the send button to open a list of nearby Android devices. The app recipient must click on the "Find" option to appear on devices near the recipient.

How to use :

If users want to send the app to someone they can click on send and if they want to find the app then click on find. While deploying apps, users can also select multiple applications and send them simultaneously. To use this feature, users need to give Google Play Store access to their location, and then take them to the list of apps on their device to select and send. We tried this feature on the OnePlus 7 Pro running Android 11 and it worked well.
